Genesis 18 - Abraham dickers with God over the fate of Sodom; 40, 30,20, 10 - for their sake I will save it.

Galatians 5 - become slaves to one another in love; Love you neighbor as yourself; listing of the sins of the flesh in contrast to the fruits of the Spirit; if we live by the Spirit let us be guided by the Spirit!

Mark 8 - At Bethsada, Jesus heals a blind man; Who do you say that I am? the Messiah the Son of the living God.

Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things both in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear the supplications of your people, and in our time grant us your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

For Mission

Almighty and everlasting God, by whose Spirit the whole body of your faithful people is governed and sanctified: Receive our supplications and prayers which we offer before you for all members of your holy Church, that in their vocation and ministry they may truly and devoutly serve you; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
