Day 23 - More of the Missionary Tour

Image
Prayer Suggestion | God of Abundance, Through grace, we received your blessings of love and sacrifice.  Daily we are reminded of your gifts and, in turn, let us not be afraid to do the same. Give us courage and discernment for how we are being called to give back to our community. Bless these gifts as you have already blessed us, and use them to help further your kingdom. It is in your name that we pray. Amen. Justin Mauney, Second year M. Div. student at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN from Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. From a scholarship appeal from the Seminary. More especially we pray for your holy Church universal; that it may be so guided and governed by your good Spirit, that all who profess and call themselves Christians may be led into the way of truth, and hold the faith in unity of spirit, in the bond of peace, and in the righteousness of life. Finally, we commend to your fatherly goodness all those who are in any ways afflicted or distressed, in mind, body, or estate; that it may please you to comfort and relieve them according to their several necessities, giving them patience under their s ufferings, and a happy issue out of all their afflictions. And this we beg for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen. Collects and Prayers | Book of Common Prayer Bible in Time | New Testament Study, Day 21 It’s 47 - 48 CE/a....
