Day 21 - First Missionary Journey

Image
Prayer Suggestion | O God, the creator and preserver of all, we humbly beseech you for all sorts and conditions of people; that you would be pleased to make your ways known unto them, your saving health unto all nations. More especially we pray for your holy Church universal; that it may be so guided and governed by your good Spirit, that all who profess and call themselves Christians may be led into the way of truth, and hold the faith in unity of spirit, in the bond of peace, and in the righteousness of life. Finally, we commend to your fatherly goodness all those who are in any ways afflicted or distressed, in mind, body, or estate; that it may please you to comfort and relieve them according to their several necessities, giving them patience under their s ufferings, and a happy issue out of all their afflictions. And this we beg for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen. Collects and Prayers | Book of Common Prayer Bible in Time | New Testament Study, Day 21 It’s 47 - 48 CE/a.

The Post-COVID Church?

Image
Winter Sun by DWE In a post-COVID era, How does the church need to change to recapture its people from online at home viewing? It will be a different time for people to come back to a community of worship and a center for Christian action and ministry = congregational ministry. Can we take to the model of the early Church formation and apply it to the modern era? How will the Church aid the Holy Spirit to instill a sense of personal call and ministry to the individual Christian? How will we help people discern their ministry as called by God to do? How can the Church help the individual believer find what God is calling them to do to transform  the world to the Way of Christ?
