Psalm 102
Lord, Hear my prayer;
Be with me when I am in trouble
I am ill and heal me
I feel I am being punished;
Have mercy on me;
God will listen to the cries of the homeless.

James 5
Be patient until God comes;
Be strong;
Don’t grumble
Remember the suffering of the prophets.

Luke 18
Jesus told a parable about  prayer and persistence;
The widow bothered the unjust judge until she got justice;
So shall you prayer life needs to be.

Collect of the Day: proper 28
Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

For Mission

Almighty and everlasting God, by whose Spirit the whole body of your faithful people is governed and sanctified: Receive our supplications and prayers which we offer before you for all members of your holy Church, that in their vocation and ministry they may truly and devoutly serve you; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
