Prayers and Intercessions
Collect for Proper 6
Keep, O Lord, your household the Church in your steadfast faith
and love, that through your grace we may proclaim your truth with
boldness, and minister your justice with compassion; for the sake of our
Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever. Amen.
For the Human Family
O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus
your Son: Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away
the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls
that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle
and confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in your good
time, all nations and races may serve you in harmony around your
heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For Creation
We give you thanks, most gracious God, for the beauty of earth and sky
and sea; for the richness of mountains, plains, and rivers; for the songs of
birds and the loveliness of flowers. We praise you for these good gifts,
and pray that we may safeguard them for our posterity. Grant that we
may continue to grow in our grateful enjoyment of your abundant
creation, to the honor and glory of your Name, now and forever. Amen

Glory to God whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than
we can ask or imagine: Glory to him from generation to generation in
the Church, and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20,21
