Psalm 121 | Confidence in God’s care
My help always comes from God who created all things;
The Lord is your protection and shade;

Luke 18 |
Talking to the disciples Jesus told him of his death and
Resurrection but did not understand him. A man shouts
to Jesus and asks to be healed and Jesus heals him.

Collect of the Day:
Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in your well-beloved Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords: Mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
(Proper 29 - Christ the King - Year B)

For Mission
O God, you have made of one blood all the peoples of the
earth, and sent your blessed Son to preach peace to those
who are far off and to those who are near: Grant that people
everywhere may seek after you and find you; bring the nations
into your fold; pour out your Spirit upon all flesh, and hasten
the coming of your kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Collect for Peace
O God, the author of peace and lover of concord, to know
you is eternal life and to serve you is perfect freedom:
Defend us, your humble servants, in all assaults of our
enemies; that we, surely trusting in your defense, may not
fear the power of any adversaries; through the might of
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Friends, Grace and peace from our loving God. Let us pray … Kindle in our hearts, O God, the flame of love that never ceases, that it may burn in us, giving light to others. May we shine forever in your temple, raging set on fire with your eternal light, even your Son Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer.
