V. 1-12 - reassurances about the timing
of Jesus’s return. It’s in the
future after a series of events. Be patient.


v.13-17 - You are doing good things.
Stand firm and hold the traditions.
Keep the faith.


Every community of faith has its traditions…
Just so they do not get in the way of doing

worship and ministry now. Listen to the
Holy Spirit.
