Reading | A bible study I would have loved to hear as Jesus, unknown to the two disciples walking, tells all things in fulfillment of Scripture and he broke bread with them; on Sunday evening Jesus shows up to the disciples - receive the Holy Spirit - forgive; Thomas sees Jesus and believes - blessed are those that do not see and believe. Gospel of John closes with the declaration that these writing is only part of all that happened; Jesus talks with Peter and asks 3 questions; Great Commission - go, make disciples, baptize them in God's name, teach them all, I will be with you always.

A Collect for Grace
O Lord God, almighty and everlasting Father, you have brought us in safety to this new day: Preserve us with your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, nor be overcome by adversity; and in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for Mission
Almighty and everlasting God, by whose Spirit the whole body of your faithful people is governed and sanctified: Receive our supplications and prayers which we offer before you for all members of your holy Church, that in their vocation and ministry they may truly and devoutly serve you; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
