Readings |
Ps 34 - I will bless the Lord at all times; I sought the Lord and he delivered me from all fear; taste and see that the Lord is good!

Isaiah 49 - The Lord called me before I was born and gave me a mission to speak to the people of God.

1 Corinthians - As people who are disciples, we are called to be servants of Christ and keepers of the mysteries of God; we are rich in all things; we are fools for the Gospel; the people of God surround you with love support and instruction.

John 1 - Jesus encounters Simon he calls Peter and his brother Andrew to be his disciples - his invitation is simple, "Come and see".

The calling of disciples to invite others to walk in the ways of Jesus is as simple as saying, "Come and see."

Almighty God, who gave such grace to your apostle Andrew that he readily obeyed the call of your Son Jesus Christ, and brought his brother with him: Give us, who are called by your holy Word, grace to follow him without delay, and to bring those near to us into his gracious presence; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
