Pray

Deliver me, O God, for you have sustained and taught me since my birth; Don't be far and be near me and protect me; I will praise you always; Let me tell others about your great works; heal me;

Acts 16
Paul and Silas were imprisoned, an earthquake opened all the doors, they stayed; the warden of the prison received Jesus and was baptized; declared them to be Roman citizens; they received an apology.

John 12
Jesus prays to God; take this from me; God replies; I will draw all people; walk in the light and believe in the Light.

Prayer

Collect of the Day: Proper 19

O God, because without you we are not able to please you, mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

For Mission

Almighty and everlasting God,
by whose Spirit the whole body of your faithful people
is governed and sanctified:
Receive our supplications and prayers
which we offer before you for
all members of your holy Church,
that in their vocation and ministry
they may truly and devoutly serve you;
through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
