Psalm 45
Celebration of the king’s wedding to a foreign princess and then applied to a vision of Messiah; a song for the king, conquer in the cause of truth; God has anointed you; they write songs about you; your name will be remembered forever.
Acts 14
Paul and Barnabas converts many Jews at the synagogue; the city was divided; they escaped from a stoning; they went to another town, healed a man, the locals wanted to worship them; but they took off their clothes to show they were mortal; the crowd wanted to worship them.  God works with mere mortals like us to do miracles.
John 10
Jesus was going to be stoned and asked why?; believe the works; they tried to arrest him but he escaped to where John was baptizing and many believed him.
Prayer

Grant us, O Lord, to trust in you with all our hearts; for, as you always resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make their boast of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
