Alleluia. The Lord is risen indeed: Come let us adore him. Alleluia.| BCP p. 76

Readings

Psalm 148 | Hymn | Background
Alleluia, how great it is to sing to the Lord,
God heals, liberates, lifts the lowly,
Sing with thanksgiving,
God’s creation sings of the Lord’s bounty,
God has blessed your children,
God’s word is heard throughout the Creation

1 Peter 4
The end is near, love and be hospitable to one another.
Speak like God is speaking so that Jesus is glorified.

John 21
Jesus asking, “Do you love me? Feed my sheep.”
There are many other things that Jesus did but are not written down.

Today | Collect of the Day: Third Sunday of Easter
O God, whose blessed Son made himself known to his disciples in the breaking of bread: Open the eyes of our faith, that we may behold him in all his redeeming work; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

For Mission

Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within the reach of your saving embrace: So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for the honor of your Name. Amen.

A Collect for Saturdays

Almighty God, who after the creation of the world rested from all you works and sanctified a day of rest for all your creatures: Grant that we, putting away all earthly anxieties, may be duly prepared for the service of your sanctuary, and that our rest here upon earth may be a preparation for the eternal rest promised to your people in heaven; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer of Self-Dedication
Almighty and eternal God,
so draw our hearts to you,
so guide our minds,
so fill our imaginations,
so control our wills,
that we may be wholly yours,
utterly dedicated unto you;
and then use us, we pray you, as you will,
and always to your glory and the welfare of your people;
through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

For Birthdays

O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on your servants, as they begin another year. Grant that they may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their trust in your goodness all the days of their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
