Praise the Lord - you …
Angels, earth, creation, sea monsters, fire, hills, cattle, wild beasts, all people,
Let them all praise the Lord!

Godliness is valuable in all ways; teach, set an example, read Scripture, remember the faith, continue in these things.

John 8
Who is ever is from God, hears God; if you don’t know God, you will not hear God, Jesus was in the Temple and they could not hear what he was saying so he left before they killed him for blasphemy.

Collect for the Day
Grant, O merciful God, that your Church, being gathered together in unity by your Holy Spirit, may show forth your power among all peoples, to the glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
For Mission
Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within the reach of your saving embrace: So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for the honor of your Name. Amen.
General Thanksgiving
Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we your unworthy servants give you humble thanks for all your goodness and loving-kindness to us and to all whom you have made. We bless you for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all for your immeasurable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ; for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory. And, we pray, give us such an awareness of your mercies, that with truly thankful hearts we may show forth your praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives, by giving up our selves to your service, and by walking before you in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory throughout all ages. Amen.

In The Wake of a Hurricane
God of love, we come to you with a heavy heart for Houston and all those communities affer Hurricane Harvey. Strengthen local clergy and congregants as they provide shelter and aid for their communities. Look with pity upon all those who have been left homeless, bereft, in shock, in the wake of this mighty act of nature. Comfort with the sure sense of your presence all who feel forsaken, whose hope is dried up. Send down your blessings on these your servants; first respondents, police department and rescuers, who so generously devote themselves to helping others. Give them the ability to stand strong and to be filled with courage. Help them to be aware that You are continually with them wherever they are and whatever situation they find themselves in. Amen."
