Prayers and Intercessions | Mission St Clare | Book of Common Prayer
Epiphany 1 - Year B (Mark)
Collect for the Day:
Father in heaven, who at the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan proclaimed him
your beloved Son and anointed him with the Holy Spirit:
Grant that all who are baptized into his Name may keep the covenant they have made,
and boldly confess him as Lord and Savior; who with you and
the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

For Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore:
Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you,
all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women everywhere
love you and serve you in peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your Name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those
who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial,
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours,
now and forever. Amen.
For All Sorts and Conditions
O God, the creator and preserver of all, we humbly beseech you for all sorts and
conditions of people; that you would be pleased to make your ways known unto them,
your saving health unto all nations. More especially we pray for your holy Church
universal; that it may be so guided and governed by your good Spirit, that all who profess
and call themselves Christians may be led into the way of truth, and hold the faith in unity
of spirit, in the bond of peace, and in righteousness of life.
Finally, we commend to your fatherly goodness all those who are in any ways afflicted
or distressed, in mind, body, or estate; that it may please you to comfort and relieve
them according to their several necessities, giving them patience under their sufferings,
and a happy issue out of all their afflictions. And this we beg for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.
