Psalm 119
Ps 119 is a lexicon of life events and how God is in each of those events; it
Is also a celebration of the Word and statutes of God; precepts; This section -
remember your word to your servant; I take comfort in your word; I hurry and do
not delay to keep your law; teach me good judgment and knowledge; it is
of great value to me.

Hebrews 9
The letter shows Jesus as the great high priest; Jesus appeared at the end of the age
he offered himself once and for all to sacrifice to remove sin for all time.
John 5
Everything that Jesus does is because of the love of God; after belief, there is no
judgment but eternal life in Jesus Christ; we pass from death into life eternal.

Collect for the Day: The Third Sunday After the Epiphany
Give us grace, O Lord, to answer readily the call of our Savior Jesus Christ and
proclaim to all people the Good News of his salvation, that we and the whole world
may perceive the glory of his marvelous works; who lives and reigns with you and
the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

For Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore:
Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you, all tongues
confess and bless you, and men and women everywhere love you and
serve you in peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Collect for Peace

O God, the author of peace and lover of concord, to know you is eternal life
and to serve you is perfect freedom: Defend us, your humble servants, in all
assaults of our enemies; that we, surely trusting in your defense, may not fear
the power of any adversaries; through the might of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
