Reflection |

Today -

Luke’s account of Jesus birth and childhood.
At a point in history - Jesus was born in humble means
in Bethlehem; Shepherds see angels and then Jesus;
Jesus’ circumcision and is named; Simeon sings; Anna sings;
Mary and Joseph wonder; went to Nazareth and grew;
At 12 - Jesus appears in Temple and mystifies religious leaders;
Mary treasured all of these things.

Luke probably had a copy of Gospel of Mark and a lost book
called the Sayings of Jesus (Q is what scholars call it).

Grant us, Lord, not to be anxious about earthly things, but to love
things heavenly; and even now, while we are placed among things
that are passing away, to hold fast to those that shall endure; through
Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy
Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Pray for those seeking God’s calling for their next
venture in life. May we give thanks for all God’s gifts and
Wonders that God gives us continuously.
