10/11/2019     Day 284 Luke 24:1 -53

Reflection |

Today -

Chapter 24 - The women come to the Tomb to prepare
the body of Jesus; Stone is rolled away and angels appeared
and announced the resurrection; Mary Magdalene, Joanna,
and Mary - James mother and others were not believed by
the disciples. Peter ran to confirm the story.

Two disciples walk to Emmaus and Jesus unrecognized began
to speak with them - the world’s greatest bible study. After
Jesus broke bread with them and disappeared and they
ran to Jerusalem and told the rest of the disciples.

Jesus then appears before the disciple and tells them to believe and
gets something to eat with them.

He then taught them all things from Moses to the prophets on
how the Messiah must suffer and die and be raised again. He took
them to Bethany and ascended into heave. The disciples
continued to teach in the Temple with great joy.

So as far as I can see …

• The empty tomb should be the symbol of Christianity
• We believe in Christ raised and ascended.
• God tells the story of the Kingdom from unlikely sources like
• Women, angels, bible studies, at meals, etc
• The ministry for all disciples is teaching and service
• The Kingdom of God is here at your hearing.
• The Holy Spirit calls, gathers and enlightens all into one true faith.
• Go and do it!
