Psalm 88 | Background | A prayer for a near hopeless individual.
I cry to you, my God, I am full of trouble and feel near the grave;
I am in the pit and away from my friends and you - like prison:
I have called to you daily - where are you to help me???
Why have you rejected me? I have borne this like a flood.

Acts 4 | Background
The church leaders were amazed at the healing and preaching from Peter & John - they ordered them not to speak about Jesus - how can we not
they responded; The disciples gathered to pray - look at the treats - be
with us; They were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word with
boldness!

John 1 | Background | 90 CE/AD | written by the “beloved disciple” to a
Greek Christian community;

to do something - Jesus made a superior wine. After the feast they went
to Camperum.

Prayers and Intercessions
Collect for Week

Let your continual mercy, O Lord, cleanse and defend your Church; and,
because it cannot continue in safety without your help, protect and
govern it always by your goodness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who
lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.                                                                  (Proper 13, Year B)

For Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore:
Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you,
all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women
everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
A Prayer of Self-Dedication
Almighty and eternal God,
so draw our hearts to you,
so guide our minds,
so fill our imaginations,
so control our wills,
that we may be wholly yours,
utterly dedicated unto you;
and then use us, we pray you, as you will,
and always to your glory and the welfare of your people;
through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

AR |
Glory to God whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than
we can ask or imagine: Glory to him from generation to generation in
the Church, and in Christ Jesus forever and ever. Amen.
