You show me the path of life; in your presence there is Joy.

Acts 10 | Peter still at Cornelius’ household and speaks |
I understand that God shows no partiality - everyone who does right is
acceptable to God; Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit and power;
God raised Jesus on the third day - everyone who believes him has
the forgiveness of sins through the name of Jesus. They receive the
Holy Spirit and are baptized.
John 7 | Still at the Festival
Jesus announces himself as living water; Is he a prophet or Messiah;
Why did you not arrest him? No one has spoken like him - the Pharisees
were unset - Nicodemus says he needs a hearing before arrest. They
said no prophet could come from Galilee.

Prayers and Intercessions
Collect for Week
Grant, O merciful God, that your Church, being gathered
together in unity by your Holy Spirit, may show forth your
power among all peoples, to the glory of your Name;
through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
(Proper 16, Year B)

For Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore:
Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you,
all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women
everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For Courage and Assurance
O God,
you have called your servants to ventures
of which we cannot see the ending,
by paths as yet untrodden,
through perils unknown.

Give us faith to go out with good courage,
not knowing where we go,
but only that your hand is leading us
and your love supporting us.  Amen

For the Passing of a Child

Why, O Lord, did my child die?
My soul is ripped out and my heart bleeds all over me.
I just don’t understand …
But you are with me in this desolation.
I know you weep with me and you cry with me.
Take care of my child in your loving arms.
Be with me in this sorrowful time when I don’t understand.
I miss my child.
Bless me and surround with me with your presence and
legions of angels to protect me.
Be with me in this next breath and every breath I take.
My heart hurts. I miss my child.
I am in your care forever.
Amen

AR |
May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing
through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
