I waited for the Lord to lift me up and gave me a new song; trust in the Lord; God is faithfulness and love; delivery me and help me; great is the Lord.

Zechariah 7 - vs 8 The word of the LORD came to Zechariah, saying: 9 Thus says the LORD of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; 10d o not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another. 11 But they refused to listen, and turned a stubborn shoulder, and stopped their ears in order not to hear. 12 They made their hearts adamant in order not to hear the law and the words that the LORD of hosts had sent by his spirit through the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from the LORD of hosts. 

Revelation 5 - Image of the Lamb and all of the heavenly court bow before it; angels singing "Worthy is the Lamb" ; singing of blessing of the Lord.

Matthew 25 - Jesus talks of the king and the three slaves and the talents of gold, 2 succeeded, 1 failed, fear drove him, harsh because of fear, note - the king is NOT God.

Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified: Mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. Amen.
