Prayers and Intercessions
Collect for Week
Grant us, O Lord, to trust in you with all our hearts; for, as you always
resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake
those who make their boast of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our
Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now
and forever. Amen.
(Proper 18, Year B)

For Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore:
Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you,
all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women
everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For Our Ministry
For the work of reconciliation in America, especially between law
enforcement agencies of color so that we might put down our weapons
and take up our words, let us pray to the Lord.
(The prayers of the people, Episcopal Parish of St. John the Baptist, Portland, OR
9 Sept 2018)

AR |
May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing
through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
