Psalm 71 | Prayer for persecutors be defeated
I have taken refuge in you; listen to me; protect me; deliver me:
Since I was born You protected me; come and help me.
I will wait for you all day long; don’t leave me. You comfort me.

Acts 16 | Note that the text is now in the second person - “we” |
About midnight while they were imprisoned; the earth shook and
the doors were opened; the jailer was baptized with his household;
Paul is released but tells the jailer who told the magistrate that he
was a Roman citizen and treated badly; he was let go and stayed
with Lydia.

John 12 |
Jesus - Glorify your name - God responds to say it is glorified -
Jesus said to the crowd that he needs to be lifted up - they were
confused. I am the light. Jesus was going to his death and resurrection.

O God, because without you we are not able to please you, mercifully
grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts;
through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy
Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

For Mission
O God and Father of all, whom the whole heavens adore:
Let the whole earth also worship you, all nations obey you,
all tongues confess and bless you, and men and women
everywhere love you and serve you in peace; through
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For Our Ministry
O gracious God, you have given your very self to save the world.
That we may be empowered to give up ourselves to one another.
You give us hope when hope is gone. You give of strength to
carry on. Amen
